Navigating Trash Pickup and Recycling in Ward 7: A Handy Guide
Ward 7 residents, we understand that questions about trash pickup are common, so here's a guide to help you make the most of the services provided by the City of Cleveland.
Trash and Recycling Carts:
- Black 96-gallon carts for trash, blue 64-gallon carts for recycling (available upon request).
- Place carts at the curbside the night before collection or by 7:00 AM on collection day.
- Call 3-1-1 (216.664.3711) to report missed pickups.
Curb Placement Guidelines:
- All waste must be inside the cart.
- Don't exceed the cart's height with items.
- Keep carts three feet apart for efficient collection.
- Position carts with the opening facing the street.
- Avoid placing anything in front of or leaning against carts.
- 48-gallon carts and valet collection available for residents with disabilities. (I AM WAITING on information about this before I include it)
Bulk/Bulky Waste:
- Set out up to 20 bundles of brush/tree branches, 20 bags of yard waste, four tires without rims, and three bulk items per week.
- Bulk items collected on the first full week of each month on your regular collection day. You may 311 for a calendar.
- Wrap mattresses and cloth furniture in plastic for collection.
Bulk Drop-off Options:
- Residents can drop off bulk/bulky waste at Ridge Road Transfer Station up to four times a year.
Recycling Services:
- Opt-in for curbside recycling at clerecycles.com or call 216.664.3030.
Replacing a Damaged Cart:
- Call 216.664.3711 or 3-1-1 for a replacement.
No Blue Cart? Where to Take Recyclables:
- East Side: 5600 Carnegie Avenue (Mon-Sat, 9am-3pm)
- West Side: 3727 Ridge Road (Mon-Sat, 9am-3pm)
